Meet Our Family on Our Winter Vacation!

Winter in northwest Alaska is beautiful (see the lovely poem at the end of this page), but it was wonderful to get away in January to visit our daughters and their families.  Here are some pictures -  you can click on them to enlarge them.

Winter Sparkles

Crystals and diamonds, all gems beware!

Mother Nature's handiwork lives out here.
From the birds in the trees, to the water below,
Everything's covered in her glorious snow.

An icescape of sorts, Jack Frost's hand at best,
Has painted the yards, in Winter's dress.
Ice shimmers and dangles precariously low,
From rooftops it hangs, to the ground down below.

Rubies and emeralds, silver and gold,
Pale in comparison to a Winter so bold.
As I look out my window, I marvel to see
The sparkle of Winter, all around me
